Eric Cormier Brings Exemplary Financial and Management Experience
Vancouver, B.C. – April 29th, 2009, Axia Software, technology leaders in Asset Investment Planning (AIP) solutions today announced the appointment of Eric Cormier as Chief Financial Officer. Cormier brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in financial planning, operations, and information technology. Cormier will oversee Axia’s financial management and internal business processes. “Axia has a compelling value proposition backed by strong technology,” said Cormier. “I look forward to the opportunity of contributing to Axia’s success as the company grows and takes a leadership role in providing enterprise class Asset Investment Planning solutions to the market place.”
Cormier is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Queens’ University. Over the years, Cormier has been key contributor to many high technology start-ups as they built market presence. Prior to joining Axia, Cormier provided junior public company reporting for Ignition Point Technologies (TSX-VEN). He also acted as the financial lead for two Vancouver based tech companies acquired by large-cap US companies namely, Circa Communications acquired by Polycom (NASDAQ:PLCM) and Neoteric Technology acquired by Haemonetics (NYSE:HAE). Cormier’s extensive background includes supporting an IPO that raised a CDNX record $22M for Absolute Software (TSX:ABT).
